You're on the job.
Your phone isn't.

Miss a call on a job site and we text the customer back in seconds. We find out what the job is and where. Then you get one text: the job, the zip code, how soon, and the number to call. You never log into anything.

Illustrative example · fictitious number

Call the demo line: (309) 326-7446

Let it ring, hang up before anyone picks up, then watch your phone. You'll get the same text a missed caller gets — from a real tree company that runs on this. Once per phone per day, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. No need to reply.

Or leave your number and we'll call you

The demo line is our live Canton, IL tree-service number. Call it and hang up: Spoon River Tree Service will text you back within seconds — that is the product working. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out.

Every unanswered ring is a bid you never got to make.

You miss calls for the best reason there is: you're working. The customer doesn't wait. They call the next name on the list.

We don't have a statistic to sell you yet. We have a phone number you can call and see it work.

What happens when you miss a call

  1. You get a second number that rings your same phone.

It's a tracking number — you put it where new customers find you: your website, your Google listing, your ads. Calls to it ring your phone the same as today. When you pick up, press 1 to take the call. That one button is how we know a person answered and not your voicemail.

  2. Missed calls get an instant text back.

Within seconds the caller gets a text from your business: sorry we missed you — what kind of work, and what zip code? Then, how soon.

  3. You get a text with the job in it, not a voicemail.

What work, what area, how soon, and their number — on your phone. Call back when you're off the ladder. Once a month, an email shows how many calls we caught and what came of them.

  • There is no software. That's the product.

No app. No login. No password to forget. Nothing to check from the bucket truck. What you get is a text with the job in it, and one email a month.

  • The texting rules are our problem, not yours.

Business texting has rules: registration with the phone carriers, no texts at night, HELP and STOP have to work. We handle the setup and the paperwork. Every text goes out through carrier-registered messaging, waits for daytime hours (8 a.m. to 8 p.m. their time), answers HELP, and stops cold when someone replies STOP.

  • An answering service writes down a name. We ask the questions you'd ask.

What's the work, where is it, how soon. Telemarketers and callers outside the area you serve get a polite no and don't bother you. Callers who never text back still reach you — as a missed call with their number. What reaches you is worth the call.

What it costs

$249 /month, flat.

Month to month. No long-term contract. Cancel by text.

That's the whole bill — nothing per text, nothing per lead. You cancel by texting the number we give you at setup.

Plus $249 one time to get you set up: your number, the carrier registration, and the texting rules — all done for you before your first call comes in.

What happens after you call

  1. We talk for a few minutes.

Your business name, the towns you serve, and which phone should get the jobs.

  2. We set up your number and the registration.

Your texting goes to the phone carriers for approval. That part is on us, and it's the part that takes the longest.

  3. You put the number where customers find you.

Website, Google listing, ads — with a one-line texting notice we give you to post beside it. This is the only part you do.

  4. First missed call, first text.

Nothing to install, nothing to learn. You answer your phone the way you always have. We handle the ones you can't.

Questions we get on the phone

Do I have to change my phone number?
No. You keep your number and your phones. We add a second number that rings the same phones. You put that number where new customers find you — your website, your Google listing, your ads — with a one-line texting notice we give you to post next to it. Your old number keeps working the way it always has.
What if I do pick up?
You'll hear “press 1.” Press it and you're talking to your customer like always. If you, your office, or your answering service picks up and presses 1, we do nothing. We only step in when nobody does.
Is a real person texting my customers?
No — it's automated, and it's short. It asks the three things you'd ask first: what work, what zip code, how soon. Then it tells them you'll get right back to them and stops. The real conversation is you, when you call. Call the demo line and you'll see exactly what they see.
My customers don't want texts.
They just called you and got nothing. A text in a few seconds beats a beep. It's a few questions, then it stops. Anyone who'd rather not can reply STOP and never hears from it again — or they can just wait for your call.
How do I know it's doing anything?
Every job lands on your phone as it happens. On the 1st of the month you get an email: calls in, calls missed, texts sent and delivered, and how many turned into a job worth calling. If it isn't earning its keep, cancel by text.
What if somebody texts STOP?
They get one text saying they're out, and that's the last one. It happens on its own — nobody has to remember. That's part of what you're paying us to get right.
Do I have to download anything?
No. Everything comes to you as a text. Reports come as email.

Have us call you.

You'll get a call from us — the owner, not a call center.
